Came with a group of friends around 7pm on a Saturday evening, was seated promptly with no wait. We did notice that the restaurant got busy around 7:30-8pm. Things we got: Masala fries 5/5: Must get! Our table devoured these. The flavors all work very well together. Gobi Manchurian 4/5: Very good! Spicy and flavorful. Could've been slightly crispier but definitely some of the better Gobi Manchurian I've had around the bay. Garlic naan 4.5/5: Flavors could've been stronger but overall very good! Lamb biryani 5/5: So flavorful! We got mild but it was pretty spicy with that level already, but I also have a relatively low spice tolerance lol. But definitely one of their must gets! Also they did not skimp on the quantity (nor the quality!). Pistachio chicken kuruma 4.5/5: Also very good, I haven't had pistachio flavored kuruma before so this was a very good first experience. Dosa 3.5/5: my friend got this, she said it was okay, they definitely gave a good amount and their sambar was pretty decent. Chicken Chettinadu 4/5: my other friend got this, she said it was pretty good, not many further comments. Overall great place for big flavors. They also asked about food allergies after they took our order, which I appreciated. We took public transit, since parking in Mission tends to be difficult.

I was excited to try Aaha Indian Cuisine after reading some good endorsements on Reddit. I'm glad I tried it but I would not go out of my way to eat here again. We ordered the Chicken Biryani (Bone-In), Coconut Chicken, Chili Shrimp and Tandoori Pomfret. Although we were seated immediately, the food was slow to arrive. I was most excited about the Tandoori Pomfret as I've never had tandoori fish before and I will say it was the best dish out of the four we ordered! Beware this dish and the food here in general is quite spicy! All in all, the food felt solid but nothing special and did feel pricier than other Indian restaurants in the city (it was ~$80 for our meal).

Overall Experience: 5 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Value: 4.5 The food was amazing and we were pleasantly surprised with every dish we ordered! I tried gobi Manchurian and dosa for the first time and really liked both. The service was so so, the restaurant seemed understaffed so the waiters are in a hurry to get your order/serve you. Street parking is available, but can be a little bit of a struggle since the area is so busy. Overall I had such a fun time here trying new dishes and I would highly recommend this place.

So I can't speak to the ambience because I got the food to go but thank you fellow yelpers for all your feedback and help. And the menu to order to go food it did ask about level of spiciness so I was a little concerned but I do love spicy I marked medium I personally would have liked it a little spicier. The eggplant was simply outstanding it was cooked perfectly in the sauce was to die for I highly recommend it. The samosas were fantastic and then none was simply Delicious I can't wait to try other items from this place I was so sad that I did not see bindi on the menu.

I'm not too well-versed in South Indian dishes, and so when a friend recommended Aaha as her favorite Indian restaurant in SF, I knew I had to try it! and I'm so glad I did. Be forewarned--everything is SPICY. I'm a spice girl & I was teetering the line between adventurous and painful LOL. If you see a pepper or a piece of a pepper... don't eat it. That's when you cross that threshold. I ordered the: Chicken 65 - first time having Indian fried chicken--there was a spicy red batter on this and it was served with a green sauce. I'd give it a 4/5--the chicken meat was a bit dry for my liking. Plain Dosa - HUGE. the presentation was so fun, and I enjoyed cracking the dosa apart and dipping it in the variety of condiments. there was one singular piece of a chili pepper that I was feeling adventurous and tried eating and it killed me. it was very fun, but so painful. the white yogurt (?) sauce had a coconut-y cool taste that was different from any kind of raita I've had before. Bagara Baingan - bangin'. This was so enjoyable to eat, and I think different from eggplant curries I've had before at other places. Again, I'm not an expert, so don't come for me, but this tasted very light, and pleasantly nutty. it was SPICY SPICY SPICY though. The waiter did not ask for spice tolerance/preferences when he took the order, so if you're a bit more sensitive to spice, I think maybe mention it when you're ordering...

Yummy Indian spot! We ordered takeout and each thing we got was great! I really liked the butter chicken and the tikka masala. We loved the garlic naan too. Id come back here, but I'd probably try something else first just for something new. Definitely good, but mainly just meets expectations. Can't speak to the service or ambiance as it was delivery.

Aaha Indian food in the mission hit the spot. - chicken biryani was a huge portion and very flavorful. it comes with a few different flavorful sauces - garlic naan was a classic hit, so fresh - Butter chicken was creamy and a bit spicy in the right way - service was on the slower side as they get busy at night

This is a solid Indian restaurant in the Mission! I got dinner here with three hungry friends on a Friday evening and got seated right away. We shared two chicken appetizers, three curries, and some naan. My favorites were the andhra chili chicken, butter chicken, and garlic cheese naan. There wasn't anything I tried that I didn't enjoy here! I also noticed during my time dining here that there were a lot of takeout/pickup orders for this spot. So even if the storefront doesn't seem packed, service may be slightly slow due to the high volume of takeout orders.

Came here because a friend of a friend recommended this place and it's so good! The employees there were super nice and helped answer our questions. The dining area has a big open window which is nice as well. The garlic naan is fantastic and I liked how they added peppers in their chicken tikka masala. I wasn't a huge fan of the Biryani only because of personal preference but my friend absolutely loved it! I'm excited to come here again and check out other items on their menu!
